3. How does your Distance Learning Programme work?

Once enrolled in your chosen course, you will be assigned a personal tutor for the duration of your course. You study the course from home and each programme has been designed to be self-paced within a set time limit. In this way you can easily schedule your study to fit around your work and life plans.

There are no classes to attend and students are assessed continually by their tutors by their written coursework. So there is no need to travel.

Our online IT programmes offer in-programme 24/7 technical support in place of a personal tutor.

4. How can I contact my tutor?

Tutors can be reached 24/7 by private email with any query on coursework or assignments.

A tutor's main aim is to help you enjoy your learning experience and to successfully complete your course. Your tutor will:

  • Assess your progress on the course through assignments
  • Provide you with written feedback on your assignments
  • Answer any course-related queries and assist you with any challenges.

In addition, the Student Services team at the College will help you with any administrative issues along the way. They can be reached by phone (01) 639 4660 during office hours or by email to studentservices@kilroyscollege.ie.
